Whoa!
Oh baby, where have you been all my life. Ever since the boys over at Untappd updated the app with half stars, I find that 5 stars is really a personal medal I give out every know and then. My other friends also really liked this 9.5% bad boy but it was not a universal 5 star like my first 5 star from FFF, Zombie Dust. This beer wins the medal and the fact that getting it in Chicago is a rarity I’m sure on some level contributes to my zeal!
Green Flash is on my beer bucket list right now and their other offerings mark well across most review sites. Let’s get to the beer! This Imperial IPA does not disappoint in the taste department and it’s an incredibly approachable 9.5 percenter ala La Fin du Monde. So lets break it down quickly so you can get back to drinking. It’s everything an Imperial IPA should be, hop aroma, a nice thick copper/amber color and a seriously great malt:hop balance. If you really like a strong ale I know you will be totally pleased by this guy.
